The department was established in the year 2009 with an initial intake of 60 in B.Tech Civil Engineering. The PG course, M.Tech in Structural engineering has started in the year 2014 with an intake of 18. The department has been imparting quality education to meet the technological, advancements and industrial requirements. This has been made possible with highly qualified and dedicated faculty, modern laboratories and infrastructure facilities. Department has very good infrastructure and institutional facilities such as AC class rooms, state of the art laboratories. Lot of academic activities such as seminars, conferences, work-shops, expert lecturesare conducted. The department is doing good research work and good no of papers are published in various national and international journals and national and international conferences. These academic activities would add up to the standards of the university.Original research in Civil Engineering is encouraged and facilitated by research faculty. The department possesses well qualified and experienced senior professors and teaching faculty who one encourages the students for doing research and publications of papers in national and international journals.

• PEO1: To prepare the graduates with an ability to plan, analyze and design the civil engineering structures by using software and pursue research.
• PEO2: To prepare the graduates to apply the subject knowledge and provide solutions to construction field problems with continuous learning.
• PEO3: To prepare graduates to acquire, apply modern technologies and machinery to complex engineering problems.
• PEO4: To prepare graduates with an ability to apply ethical principles in professional engineering practice.
• PEO5: To prepare graduates with an ability to work effectively on industry projects either individually or in teams.
